Argentina appoint EX Hammer as boss...
Sorry to be the provider of more useless news. But...

Lionel Scaloni has been named as caretaker head coach of Argentina.

The Argentinian Football Association (AFA) confirmed the 40-year-old's appointment in a brief statement on Thursday.

I don't know how any West Ham United support can take enjoyment and have great memories from losing any game, let alone an FA Cup final we so close to winning.

Is there a video replay of the Scaloni thing, on anywhere?

Because he couldn't, he was being closed down.

My hatred for him is unbearable at times when I see or hear his name. Why that cunt never let that throw in roll out for a goal kick I'll never know to this day.

wansteadman - nope. Dailly was on, but it was Reo-Coker who was meant to be following Gerrard around. I really don't like NRC but still can't really attach any blame to him.

It was just despicable, cheating and unsportsmanlike behaviour by the Scouse cunts, then a brilliant goal by the Scouse cunt.

You decide for yourselves

I have also held a grudge about this for years. You will see every YouTube clip starts after they had been really 'sporting' and giving the ball back.

Scaloni could have ushered the ball out though.

All about the 'character' of the team though according to the Fat waiter.

Never really got the obsession with what happened in the final. It was just one of those things. We do always need to assign blame though.

Should have let it run get his body in between and take the foul
There again the bought daily on to close Gerrard down and I was nearer to him than daily ever got

It didn't. And a Liverpool player was charging it down.

Could have he let it run out for a goal kick? I can't remember if it had enough pace on it.

Can we stop reliving that moment in the FA Cup final?

It's the most dejected I've ever felt, even more so than the time I opened a thread on here and GAVVY was posting on it.

No doubt he's been listening to the advice of West Ham fans for the last 12 years and we shall see Argentina resorting to hoof-ball in all their matches as long as he is in charge.

Re: Argentina appoint EX Hammer as boss...
He did hoof it down the pitch. So much so that it went over the head of the nearest West Ham player (but not as far as Zamora). There was another passage of play before the goal. He didn't just sidefoot it to Gerrard who volleyed it in, despite what most West Ham fans seem to think.

Now if you'd suggested he should have kicked it into the stands, well maybe, but thought would have definitely been surrendering possession with four minutes of added time to go...

Benayoun was more culpable than Scaloni yet gets away with no slagging. I never quite understood that.

ONLY SCALONI

Why didn't he just hoof it down the pitch????
